Ltd announces appointment of Dr Francis Pinto as a Non Executive
Director
Cambridge, UK,
Tuesday, November 01, 2005 – NovaThera Limited (“NovaThera”)
today announced that Dr Francis Pinto had joined its Board as a
Non Executive Director.
Dr Pinto is
a physician with over 40 years of global experience in the healthcare
industry, with extensive experience in research & product development
and business turnarounds. Prior assignments include Abbott, Pfizer,
BMS and a board directorship with Glaxo Group Limited in the UK.
Currently he is the Chief Executive of the Dutch biotechnology firm
Pharming N.V. and Chairman of the Xandev Foundation.

NovaThera has
recently announced partnerships to develop products based on TheraGlass®,
its novel biomaterials technology, with Advanced Bio-Technologies,
Inc. and Pharming N.V. The first of these products in the wound
care field will be launched by Advanced Bio-Technologies, Inc. in
the second half of 2006. Additionally, preclinical work on several
combination Pharming products has commenced.
